Located approximately 30km west of Byron Bay, the Dunoon district provides a unique growing environment for coffee production. The Hills of Byron plantation is perched on the edge of a vast prehistoric volcano, surrounded by temperate rainforest. With its deep, red Krasnozem soil and southerly location, the coffee experiences an extended maturation period adding to the overall complexity of the finished product.
The Arabica coffee beans are sourced from its own plantation of 18,000 coffee trees and others within the Byron hinterland which meet Hills of Byron’s pesticide and herbicide free growing standards. Hills of Byron then processes, roasts and packs its coffee in small batches to maximise flavour and freshness.
